I'm pretty pleased to announce that I have limited edition prints of each of my pieces that I exhibited at the 'We Heart Holidays' exhibition.
'Breathe Easy' and 'Live Young' are mixed media works where I re-contextualised a combination of different photographs from over the years and designed custom typography specifically for each of the pieces. The concept centers around what holidays mean to me: taking some time to rediscover yourself and the things we so often take for granted whilst we're so busy making a life, to not dwell on anything but the present, and simply to live and breathe. Coming from a person who so often forgets how to relax, I guess you could say these pieces are a visual representation of what I aim for these upcoming holidays, and also for 2012. If you can think of someone else you know that needs some time out, this might make a good Christmas present to remind them constantly of what their mantra should be for the New Year.
For the designers out there: these were printed on a 300gsm Via Linen bright white stock. Custom type was hand-drawn and then digitally rendered.
Each limited edition 210mm x 297mm print is hand-numbered out of forty and signed by me. They are AUD$40 each (with $10 postage and handling anywhere around Australia) and will be sent unframed in a protective envelope.
